Peaches came to the shelter on June 13, 2011. She was abandoned at the Humane Society and was found one morning by a staff member. She ran right up to our staff member, jumped in her car and hopped right onto her lap. However, as a senior dog (she is 10 years old) she gets passed by time and time again for adoption. She is a calm and loving terrier/pit bull mix and she is looking for the perfect home. Currently she works as the Humane Society’s pet therapy dog and visits nursing homes and interacts with groups such as the Girl Scouts with our staff members. Peaches does need to be in a one-pet home. She wants to steal all the love and attention of her owners and doesn’t get along when with other animals who try to share the spotlights. This will be the second Christmas Peaches spends at the Humane Society. Let’s make her holiday wishes come true and find her a home to ring in 2013!
