"News Man" Mix Morning Show Mix 1077 Weekday Overnights
Web Site Details Check in frequently for detailed information on some of the "more interesting" stories from the morning newscasts. There'll be sports info as well, but more than just scores. Look for more "human interest" stories rather than updates. But I'll try to keep you up with what's happening in our local schools. Also look for a segment I'm calling "Dude Speak". For those of you who are not aware, I call my 4 year old son "The Dude". My wife Lisa and I couldn't come up with a name until he was born so I called him "The Dude" until then. Anyway, he amazes me with the thoughts that come out of his head and mouth. I'll share a whole bunch of them with you and I'd like you to share some of yours with me and I'll post them here. I'll be doing some food postings as well. Who doesn't like eat, right? I love to cook and would like to share some of my favorite recipes and restaurants. And, if you haven't got the picture by now, I'd like you to do the same. Email me a few of your favorite recipes and I'll try them out then post them here online. And, what I hope will be a helpful thing for all families, I'm going to keep you guys up to date on what my family is up to. You'll have some reviews of what we're reading, watching, eating, and what we do for entertainment. And keep an eye for a whole bunch of other stuff like poll questions, pictures and videos.

An 8-year-old girl is about to suffer a moment of extreme embarrassment that's not of her creation. A woman in the crowd cackles at this moment; not laughs, cackles. You then hear someone "shoosh" those like her during the brief silence. You then hear the crowd pick up the tune in unison.

The little girl did not lose composure at all and after a second the crowd took cue and started singing. But even the players were singing and did a stick tap at the end.
According to Elizabeth's mother Dorothy Shiloff Hughes (on YouTube), she was invited to sing at another Norfolk home game this season. Hopefully without incident; but if there is one, at least she knows hockey fans have her back.
